British Institute of Professional Photography Licentiate Panel

Recognised internationally, BIPP qualifications are a benchmark of excellence.  Each qualification reflects increasing experience, skill and achievement.  Basically there are three levels of professional qualification – Licentiate, Associate and Fellow.

To achieve one of these qualifications, you need to decide the category of photography you wish to submit (weddings for me then!), complete a submission form and submit a “panel” of 20 images (10 from a single wedding and ten from other weddings) together with supporting evidence.  This work is reviewed by a panel of five assessors who themselves are highly qualified professional photographers.

I thought you might like to see the photos that I chose and also how I arranged my panel.  Whilst each picture needs to stand on its own merits, it’s also important that the whole panel has a consistent layout and look).

My thanks to all my lovely couples, and also to my BIPP mentor, Malcolm Sales ABIPP, whose help has been invaluable.

Here’s the layout, followed by the ten pictures from a single wedding, and ten pictures from multiple weddings:

Single Wedding (at the East Close Hotel nr Christchurch)

Multiple Weddings (venues include the Chine Hotel Boscombe, Christchurch Priory, Montagu Arms Beaulieu, Bartley Lodge Hotel Cadnam, Christchurch Harbour Hotel, Bridport, Mudeford Quay)
